Welcome to Better Bookkeeping Vermont. By using our bookkeeping and financial services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities. These terms outline our service policies, payment terms, and limitations of liability to ensure a clear and professional working relationship.
By engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total service fee is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. This deposit confirms your reservation and will be applied toward the total cost of the service.
Final Payment: The remaining balance is due at the time of service unless prior payment arrangements have been made. Failure to make the final payment as specified may result in the cancellation of services and forfeiture of any payments made.
Alterations: Any changes to your appointment, including date, time, or service type, must be requested in writing at least 7 days in advance. Changes are subject to availability and may require a new service agreement. If an alternative date is unavailable, the deposit and any payments made may be forfeited.
Cancellations:
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled appointment will incur a 30% cancellation fee of the total service fee.
Cancellations made 3-7 days before the appointment will result in a 75% cancellation fee.
Cancellations within 72 hours of the scheduled service will be charged 100% of the total service fee.
Accuracy of Information: Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete financial records necessary for bookkeeping, tax preparation, and other accounting services. Better Bookkeeping Vermont is not liable for errors or omissions resulting from incorrect or incomplete client-provided information.
Document Submission: Clients must submit all required financial documents (bank statements, receipts, invoices, tax forms, payroll records, etc.) by the agreed-upon deadline to ensure accurate bookkeeping and compliance with tax deadlines. Late document submission may result in service delays or the inability to complete filings on time.
Filing Authorization: Clients must review all prepared financial reports, tax filings, or other documents for accuracy and provide signed authorization before Better Bookkeeping Vermont submits them to the IRS or other tax agencies.
Communication: Clients must maintain timely communication and respond promptly to any requests for additional information, clarifications, or documentation that may impact the accuracy of their bookkeeping or tax filings.
Service Tools: Better Bookkeeping Vermont utilizes professional bookkeeping software, secure accounting platforms, and digital tools to ensure accurate and efficient service delivery. Clients are responsible for providing all necessary financial records, documents, and access to relevant online accounts to facilitate bookkeeping, tax preparation, or financial reporting services.
Service Quality: Better Bookkeeping Vermont is committed to delivering professional, accurate, and timely bookkeeping and accounting services. While we ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, the final responsibility for the accuracy of financial records, tax filings, and reports remains with the client. Clients must review and verify all documents before submission or filing.
Limitation of Liability: Better Bookkeeping Vermont provides bookkeeping and financial services with the highest level of professionalism and care. However, we are not responsible for any penalties, interest, or legal consequences resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the client. Clients are responsible for reviewing all financial statements, reports, and tax filings before submission.
Errors and Omissions: While we take every precaution to ensure accuracy, Better Bookkeeping Vermont shall not be held liable for inadvertent errors or omissions. If an error is discovered, we will make reasonable efforts to correct it. However, we are not responsible for any resulting financial losses.
Third-Party Liability: We are not liable for any actions or omissions by third-party service providers, including but not limited to tax authorities, banks, payroll processors, or software providers.
Indemnification: The client agrees to indemnify and hold Better Bookkeeping Vermont harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from misrepresented, incomplete, or fraudulent financial information provided by the client.
Force Majeure: Better Bookkeeping Vermont shall not be held liable for delays or failure to perform services due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our reasonable control. These may include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, government shutdowns, tax agency delays, system outages, pandemics, or other events that prevent the timely completion of bookkeeping, tax preparation, or financial services.
Governing Law: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Vermont.
